Kenneth Basnight owns and serves as president of Basnight Land and Lawn (BLL), a Chesapeake, Virginia provider of landscape production services. Under his leadership, BLL has established itself as a trusted partner of residential and commercial clients in the Hampton Roads, Nags Head, Richmond, and Williamsburg regions. Kenneth Basnight began serving clients through BLL in 1985, and since then the company’s commitment to quality has resulted in numerous awards, including repeated recognition in multiple categories from the Virginian-Pilot.
Apart from his responsibilities with BLL, Kenneth Basnight owns and guides Tidewater Mulch & Material, a lawn-mower dealer and service provider in Chesapeake. Active in his field, he engages with professional organizations on the state and national levels, including the Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association and the National Association of Landscape Professionals.
A longtime resident of Chesapeake, Kenneth Basnight maintains a commitment to his community outside of his work in the landscaping industry. As the proprietor of Historic Greenbrier Farms, he operates a business that offers fruit and vegetable picking and other family-friendly activities to Chesapeake-area residents. He additionally serves on the corporate board of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia and donates generously to local historical and civic causes.
